I wouldnt worry too much about what any "Weekend Range Commandos" think about the way YOU choose to modify YOUR guns. I wasn't asking whether or not it would make me feel "cool". I asked whether or not it is sturdy and durable. I already have my battle rifle, so I don't plan on using it as more than a fun little plinker.

I put a flashlight clamp on the barrel and that's it for mods! If I want a tactical rifle I'll get something else. There are more expensive options out there. Hey if it makes you happy, then get one. Durability wise, the archangel isn't your best bet.

The factory wood is great, the tapco's are good and not too expensive, and there are a whole lot of others that will hold up better than the archangel Rimfirecentral will give you a lot of ideas.
